We’re proud to introduce our "little handmade creations" which have accompanied our traveling puppet theatre for many years. Each puppet is unique, meticulously crafted, and full of personality. They are not just puppets — they are the Puppets of "Fratelli Mercurio".

How Are Our Puppets made?

CHOOSING THE MATERIALS

Shaping their "soul"...

We start by selecting the best materials, especially terracotta — robust, durable, and ideal for sculpting. Using custom-made molds, we cool and extract each form with great care before moving on to painting.

COLORING OUR LITTLE ACTORS

The magic is in
the details!

We focus intensely on facial expressions and anatomical details using vivid, non-toxic water-based paints. Each shade is selected to match the puppet’s personality — from a clever rogue to a gentle soul. We finish this stage with a coat of water-based varnish, adding a final touch of shine and protection.

BRINGING THEM TO LIFE

Style matters!

Once painted, the puppet is hand-dressed using colorful, carefully selected fabrics. Every costume is sewn by hand, just like in the old days, and finished with accessories that reflect the character’s personality.

After passing our quality check, puppets are displayed at our live events ready for you to choose your favorite directly from our stage stand!

This is not just craftsmanship — it’s the fusion of artistry and storytelling. Terracotta characters come to life in our hands and — why not — in yours too. Whether you’re a child or an adult, you’ll find magic in every puppet.
